{"id":258,"date":"2011-02-02T21:11:44","date_gmt":"2011-02-03T03:11:44","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.goodjobsucking.com\/?p=258"},"modified":"2011-02-02T21:11:44","modified_gmt":"2011-02-03T03:11:44","slug":"interlude-with-apple-developer-support","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.goodjobsucking.com\/?p=258","title":{"rendered":"Interlude with Apple Developer Support"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>As a consumer, getting support for Apple&#8217;s devices is pretty easy.\u00a0 If it&#8217;s in warranty or you have AppleCare, it&#8217;s not hard to get something fixed.\u00a0 As a developer, however, working with Apple is &#8230; not so easy.<\/p>\n<p>Apple has one of my widgets available for download, which periodically gets updated.\u00a0 The usual procedure is to log in to Apple, update a few fields, point to the new URL, and everything&#8217;s fine in a day or two.<\/p>\n<p>Lately, though, the form has been failing with the error, &#8220;Please fill in all required fields.&#8221;\u00a0 There&#8217;s no indication of which fields or what to do, so after <em>weeks<\/em> of trying different combinations of things, I contacted Apple Developer Support.<\/p>\n<p><em>Dear Apple Developer Support:<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>I maintain an OSX widget available at [URL.]  I am trying to update it using the form at <a href=\"https:\/\/developer.apple.com\/submission\/mac\/form_edit.php\" target=\"_blank\">https:\/\/developer.apple.com\/submission\/mac\/form_edit.php<\/a> <\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>However, the form *always* returns the same error:  &#8220;Please fill in all required fields.&#8221;<br \/>\n<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>There is no indication of what fields are not filled out, and I have meticulously filled out every single field.  I have attempted to do so from every major browser, including Safari, Firefox, IE, and Chrome, from every OS including OSX and Windows, and from several countries including the US, Canada, and India.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>I cannot get this form to work.  Is there anything that can be done? Or anything.  Use any browser. It&#8217;s the <em>exact same form letter<\/em>.  Frankly, at this point, I hate Jeremy Nickel, and I want him to burn in hell.  Is it really so difficult to understand that a web page is broken?
